Congratulations and well done to all our riders who took part in the Aberfeldy Trial. We had the most amazing day out in the Aberfeldy hills ( if rather a long one!) even the weather was perfect! Rider numbers were high and all 74 riders found sections, moor crossings, hill tracks to challenge them but in a good way! They enjoyed the variety of ground and longer lap - section 8 was at the high point with a cracking view across to Griffin Forest. The waterfall at section 12 gave a bit of excitement to the Red Route! Feedback so far is good ‘ great trial and perfect level of difficulty’ ; ‘challenging but safe’ ; ’cracking proper Trial today’ ; ‘wish we had more trials like this’ and of course we are always open to suggestions!
The day was rounded off with tasty pies from Gourlay Catering and brilliant Coffee from Bonnie Mountain Coffee Land-Rover, who were actually there all day keeping riders and spectators happy.
We are very grateful to all our observers who did a great job over this long route. Thanks also to those club members who set up the trial and the Landowners for granting permission for the day.
Next trial is on the 5th November at Bracken Lodges, Loch Tay. See you there!
